Special needs

Special needs often lead to isolation and stigmatization, not only because of eventual behavioural issues, but also because difficulties in focusing, risk-taking, social impairments and high levels of anxiety can have a negative impact on the persons affected by the problematic. This can lead to searching for company in the wrong groups, to 'self-medicate' with different types of addictions (video-games, drugs, etc.) that 'help'releasing anxiety or self-isolate. Having a place where you can be yourself and learn to interact with others can be helpful in becoming more confident, feeling less worthless.
